British prams.
Marmet, Wilson/Silver Cross, Pedigree, Royale and more.
On these pages we try to capture and share as much information as possible about the background and the model overview of the various British Brands. We have most of the information we have from the English brands from Jack Hampshire's book (Prams, Mail Carts & Bassinets). In addition, we have received some additional information from Mr. R. Morriss, grandson of E.T. Morriss, founder of the Marmet Pram Company.
As far as we are concerned, the history of the modern pram started in England (see homepage). We have a big preference for these prams because of the appearance, especially with the large and small wheels. Various brands and models were (and are) real status symbols.
If you click the brand name then you get a historical overview, as far as we know. If there are any remarks or additions to this data, we would like to hear this via e-mail and we will adjust or add this.
If you click on the pram models next to the brand, you can view the photos of the various models that we have extracted from the brochures. These overviews are far from complete and we hope to obtain more brochures, physically or digitally.
The years mentioned are correct, as far as we have been able to find them. This does not mean that some models have not been available earlier or later.
Some pages may load a little slow due to the large amount of photos and / or information.
Reloading the page sometimes will help.
The prams are not listed in order in the list.
