Restmor was founded by Sydney Alexander.
At some point, probably in the late 1960s / early 1970s, the company took over Royale. Marmet was incorporated in 1973. This formed the Restmor group, which eventually became a PLC.
This company was probably taken over by Mothercare, the company's largest customer, in the early 1980s.
