Lines Brothers

Initially the company was founded by Arthur Edwin Lines in 1909 as Pedigree & Westline in Tottenham.
After the war (WI) he joined his brothers and in 1919 they jointly founded the company Lines Brothers Limited.
Lines Brothers Limited was founded in London by three brothers William, Arthur and Walter Lines, the sons of Joseph Lines, himself a toy manufacturer.

Tri-Ang

Trading primarily under the name Tri-ang toys, the company has grown into one of the largest toy manufacturers in the world, with subsidiaries in a number of countries, including France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as a number of factories in Great Britain, notably in Merthyr Tydfil (South Wales) and Merton, South London.

Pedigree

In 1931 the trade name Pedigree was registered as a subsidiary company for making dolls' prams and later also full-size prams.
In 1957 Lines Brothers took over "Simpson, Fawcett & Co. (One of the oldest pram manufacturers in Great Britain, from approx. 1870).
Arthur and William Lines died in 1963, Walter Lines died in 1972.

Lines Brothers Limited ceased trading in 1971 and the assets were sold to a variety of other companies.
